Gareth and I have been working very hard to overcome our on-camera phobias, so have been videoing every session we can in order that being filmed does not affect our behaviour! We have made great progress with this and although not entirely 'cured' we were able to successfully film our level 2 online auditions showing something resembling our usual play sessions. So here they are......

Gareth's - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0kw7cPTJHI
Darna's - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XcEzOy_urE

And the great news is that we have had our results and we both passed! Gareth was very happy with his 2+ result which sets him up to start concentrating on level 3 play and I was really pleased with my 2++ which has given me the confidence to video my level 3 online audition in the very near future!

So stay tuned as there is more to come........

Sadly, Notchez will not be staying and joining our herd. After a month of some really great relationship building, we decided we would like to keep him and that it was time to introduce him to the her Unfortunately, we have been unable to get him to settle in our mixed herd and therefore he cannot stay. So the call to the owner has been made and Notchez will be leaving us.

Although it is sad that we couldn't make things work with Notchez and our herd, I have had a great time playing with a different horsenality and hopefully Notchez has become more confident around humans and will find trailer loading less stressful in the future.

So Bon Voyage Notchez! Hopefully you will find that perfect home very soon.....

Sidoux has settled in really well and is a permanent member of the herd now, so we thought it was time to shake things up again!

So here is Notchez, who has come for a month's trial....

Yep.... he's one sexy pony!

Now the details - he's a Criollo from Argentina and is about 15.2hh. He has beautiful elevated paces and is a real stunner (I think I already mentioned that)!

Horsenality is undetermined at this stage.... when we visited him at his owner's home, he was a definite RBI, but this afternoon I have definitely seen LBE and RBE more than anything else! So we'll just have to wait and see..... pray he isn't LBI!

We played Me and My Shadow and created some draw which was huge as he was really turned off humans when we first met him. Tomorrow I'll introduce the halter and we'll go from there..... exciting!

More photos are on our flickr website.

Well we have had the first of our new arrivals to expand our herd and here he is taking a nap under his cherry tree after the 2 hour journey from his old home.

His name is Sidoux, which seems to be becoming Sid (or Sid Vicious if you are talking with Gareth!). He is only a baby at 3 years old and is a real softy and cuddle monster!

Sid is very playful and confident - he met the dogs by chasing them around the garden and then followed them into the house!!! A real character, who is going to love having equine friends to play with and being a valued member of our family..........

Well it has taken some time, okay, a lot of time, but we finally have the horses out on the new permanent track!

It is not the finished article, we still need to compact the earth more and finish the second string of electric wire, but it's good enough to use, so we're using it!

Here's a journey around the track, hopefully giving you a sense of the journey the horses will experience........

So far we have a boulder section, an experimental crushed tiles section, the sand pit (which is a bit grassed over at the moment!) and the stone-crunching-hoof-creating gravel section.  Any ideas for further hoof conditioning surfaces gratefully received!

Yeah!  Gareth and I received our red strings (and pin and certificate) to confirm our Level 1 passes!

We have already done the Pretzel Knot in celebration, but want to wait for sunshine to get photos with our horses sporting them.

So Level 2, here we come......
